After almost a decade, I chose to pick up my pen and write again,
When I first started, I wasn't sure what I would say, so much time has passed, could my words still resonate with those reading?
Who is my audience a decade later? What wisdom could I share?
Well, it was never about any of those things. When I first started to write, it was about me finding my voice. It was about taking back my story that so many tried to tell for me.
As time goes on, I still desire to write; however, I no longer have a desire to be understood or heard.
I write for me, I write so that I never stop listening to myself. Because if there is one thing I have learned in the last decade, it is that, "It's not about what people call you, rather what you choose to respond to."
